Certification and extensive non-/acceptable product lists

About the Author
Green Mountain Compost, (formerly Intervale Compost Products,) is a producer of quality compost and compost-based products. As a program of Chittenden Solid Waste District (CSWD,) Green Mountain Compost is committed to processing valuable organic materials that would otherwise end up in a landfill into nutrient-rich compost. Food scraps account for nearly one third of most people’s trash in Chittenden County. By capturing these and other organic materials and turning them into compost, we are a critical link in our community’s food system, creating a resource out of what would otherwise end up in a landfill.
